Our Story
Studio Djembe was founded by Connor Rhoda as a way to break into the animation industry and serve as a platform for creative projects. While Connor's expertise initially lay in animation and motion graphics, he soon discovered a passion for content creation that extended beyond these skills. He recognised the need to elevate the quality of digital content in South Africa, where many local brands struggled to match the global standards of creativity and engagement. His goal was to help companies create more dynamic and impactful media that could resonate with diverse online audiences.

Connor’s journey into content creation was significantly shaped by his work with 'PokéFlix,' a YouTube channel focused on geek culture. His contributions to the channel helped elevate its content, improve its quality, and expand its reach. This experience gave him a deeper understanding of social media dynamics, audience engagement, and how to create content that stands out in a saturated market.
